SAILING SPECS

FULLY BATTENED FAT-HEAD RIG WITH JIB > 18.29 SQ/M or 196.29 SQ/FT

Our sail configuration boasts a fully battened main-sail with two reefing points, self-furling jib and an optional screecher of 12.39 SQ/M using the same Harken 435 furler as the jib. The inclusion of a bowsprit will add to an already ample sail area for light wind destinations. Both will be flown from either an aluminum, or a lightweight and collapsible carbon rig and fold away into our compact stackpack.

The three sailcloth options from our chosen supplier, Quantum, include the more traditional Dacron® working up to specialised poly and carbon re-enforced laminates.

Our custom fittings include kick back, side mounted and adjustable dagger boards for passage over shallow areas and an over-specified and oversized tiller and assembly which further offer skippers a variable depth collar and kick-back functionality as a fail-safe precaution. Harken supplies all Crusoe’s running-rigging.

The sail offers numerous branding opportunities. Corporate or region-specific sail or main hull branding is our forte. All artwork/colouration can be rendered via our in-house studio according to your specific needs.
